If DirectPlay support is still desired, a tag called EnableDirectPlay can be added to the MajXPrefs. This version also disables the DirectPlay based multiplayer options, which will help with Windows 10 and the need to turn on the legacy support for DirectPlay. It would be nice to be able to kick a player out of the game in the staging room and switch the player to be controlled by the AI so games could continue if some player can't rejoin.Needs better re-assignment of player's to their previous slots when using a save.An in-game friends list to send out invites and an in-game invite notification and acceptance popup would be nice to have.Mods are currently not supported, but will be in a future release. If the host drops out, the game may or may not continue properly. Host migration is not completely working. ![]() Users can't join into a game that has already started, i.e.Invited Friends should make sure they are in the front end, preferably on the main menu when they switch to the Steam Overlay and accept the invite. Steam Networking access will only work if you have purchased the game from Steam. Here is a list of things to look out for or are not completed yet. Please note that this is a early beta, I have done some testing with it, but there are still some things to do. To switch to using the beta, go to the Properties page for Majesty Gold HD in the Steam client and select beta2 from the drop down in the Betas tab. The game can be saved and re-loaded from the Staging Room by selecting Load Game, which will be loaded and passed around once the host launches the game. Once everyone is in the staging room and readied up, the host can launch the game. ![]() The game host can also send invites when the game is set to Friends Only. The friend can then go to the Steam Overlay and accept the invite. If the game is Private, then the game host must send an Invite through the Steam Overlay to the friends they want to join. If a game is Friends Only, a friend can use the Steam Overlay (Shift-Tab) to see the friend who is hosting a game and select "Join Game" from their drop down. Only Public games will appear in the lobby browser. When creating a new game, you must pick the number of players you want in your game and whether or not the game is Public, Friends Only, or Private. From there, you will go into a lobby browser screen where you can see and join any public games, or you can create a new game. When starting a multiplayer game, you will now see "Play over the Internet on Steam" as an option. This beta includes support for Steam based multiplayer support. If for some reason you have trouble with the beta or just want to go back to the original, Repeat the process and select NONE from the betas list and Steam will revert your game back to the released version. Steam will show that it is updating your game. In the Properties popup, select the BETAS tab and you should see a drop down with the title "Select the beta you would like to opt into". To access it, open the Steam Client app and right click on Majesty Gold HD in your Library and select Properties. After a long wait (sorry about that) A new beta is available!
